Collection contains correspondence, 1901-1902, of Thomas Baker Clark and correspondence, 1887-1919, of his wife, Grace Willis (Thomson) Clark of Halifax County, Va., with their daughters Elise Thomson Clark and Anita Grace (Clark) White. Also included is the personal correspondence, 1885-1930, of Elise Thomson Clark and the correspondence, 1898-1912, of her sister, Anita Grace (Clark) White of Halifax County and Richmond, Va., with a network of female friends. Subjects addressed include family relationships, courtship, the education of girls, and social life in the South in the early 20th century.
